Following the success of its inaugural year, Balkan Projects proudly announces the second edition of its Mentorship Program — a new chapter of connection, creativity, and growth for emerging artists across the Balkans.
We believe in the transformative power of mentorship. Building on the foundation of our first cycle, this edition expands our reach and deepens our mission. In 2025, we’re opening the call to all Balkan countries, inviting a broader range of voices and perspectives into the dialogue.
The program offers guidance, exchange, and opportunity to artists eager to explore and connect beyond borders. At its core, the online mentorship is a lively peer-to-peer space where learning flows both ways — empowering participants to refine their practice and bring their ideas to life.
Three accomplished artists will serve as mentors, offering expertise, feedback, and professional insight. Running from January to September 2026, the program adapts to each participant’s needs through a mix of one-on-one sessions and monthly group meetings for reflection and inspiration. Mentees are encouraged to dedicate time between sessions to develop their projects.
The final outcome will take shape collaboratively — as an exhibition, publication, symposium, or another shared format that reflects the group’s journey.
Our aim is to create a dynamic learning environment that supports artistic growth while opening space for the critical questions shaping contemporary art. Guided by mentors’ experience and participants’ curiosity, the program fosters a spirit of collaboration and creative exchange.
